Why We Built This

The VAT Margin Scheme is one of the most useful tax provisions available to UK resellers, but it can be confusing to work with. Calculating the VAT due on each item, factoring in platform selling fees, keeping track of multiple transactions, and understanding what goes where on your VAT return can be time-consuming and error-prone.

We built this calculator because we couldn't find a free tool that handled all of these things together. Most existing calculators are basic single-item tools that don't account for platform fees, don't offer batch processing, and don't help with VAT return figures. We wanted to create something genuinely useful that resellers would actually want to come back to.
